The Team
We are a small team of volunteers who share a common love of art, and wish to improve and develop our skill along side others.
We are a community interest group and our funding is mainly through donations and grants from community development schemes. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please contact us via email. |

Our visionThe Aylesham Arts Club aims to promote and encourage people from the community and wider area to take part in art, in all its forms.
We hope to bring together all artists; keen learns, professional and welcome those who may need support to engage in art by providing them with materials and learning guides. Our vision for the future is to provide a platform for all disciplines of art; painters, dancers, poets, photographers - all are welcome to combine their talents and collaborate with us to produce quality work together. Our mission is to support the artistic talents of the community by providing a comfortable space where people can come together and explore art, try new ideas and experiment with techniques and materials. Our Facebook group is the main point of contact and source of more information about events and future projects. |
What we do
Aylesham is a thriving and growing community set to double in numbers within the next few years. The need for a community based art group came about during the lock-down period of 2020; an online art group was created and has many members.
Aylesham Art Club provides online tutorials on drawing and painting techniques and recorded video tutorials on our YouTube channel which are more in-depth and our live sessions at Bechange community hub have now begun. Our mission is to not only provide materials and supplies at a very reduced cost (almost free!) but also offer the encouragement and support for all levels of skill, from those just starting out into art, keen learners and those wanting to explore and improve their existing talent. The art club will be holding some outdoor events during the summer to promote ourselves, these will be fun family art based activities where anyone can join in, meet the team and participate in some community art! |
